In the fishing competition Garmin Predator Cup 2023 (GPC 2023), participants will fight for a prize fund of 40,000 EUR, the biggest ever in the history of the Baltic fishing competition. The tournament will take place in rivers and lakes around Riga from August 17 to 20, bringing together anglers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and other countries.
The winner of the GPC will be determined by the sum of the points awarded for each centimetre of length to the three largest pikes, zanders and perches accepted in the test. An additional 100 points can be obtained if the crew caught at least 3 fish from each of these species.
It is possible to apply for the competition both an individual crew consisting of two athletes, as well as a team consisting of two separate crews.

Its format is very democratic and accessible to a wide range of fishermen. In addition, the waters of Riga are rich enough for fish, so that both professional athletes and amateur anglers with simple boats have an equally good chances. We also expect more and more foreign anglers to attend the competition every year, as such high-profile tournaments with such an impressive prize pool are a rarity in our region.”
The GPC traditionally features anglers of various levels, trying to catch the 3 longest pikes, zandersand perch in two days. The winners of the tournament this year will receive an exclusive VIZION 440 RS aluminum boat, equipped with a YAMAHA 50hp engine, a GARMN ECHOMAP™ Ultra 102sv sonar and a GARMIN Force® Trolling Motor (57), as well as a boat trailer TIKI. The value of the main prize is 30,000 EUR.

Any angler, except those of Russia and Belarus, is allowed to participate in GPC 2023. For representatives of Ukraine, participation is free of charge. Also, crews may participate in the competition for free, consisting of:
- one of the participants is a minor,
- at least one female participant,
- two participants aged 65 or over.
If one of the participants is 65 years old or more in the crew, only half of the entry fee must be paid.
The participation fee for one crew until June 30 is only 120 EUR (later – 150EUR). The sooner the application is submitted, the better the starting place for the crew will be. The last day of entry for the race is August 10 (at 23:59).
