During the birthday celebrations of the city of Riga, on August 18, everyone will have the opportunity to watch the ceremonial parade of the best sports fishing boats of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine in the Riga City Canal. The largest and most prestigious fishing competition in the Baltics – “Garmin Predator Cup 2023” (GPC 2023) – will be opened. More than 80 fully escorted sports boats are expected to participate.
The boat parade takes place between 18:30 and 19:30. Intended route: City Yacht Club – Andrejosta – Riga City Canal – turning around at the Latvian National Opera and returning along the same route to the City Yacht Club. The opening parade takes place in cooperation with the Latvian aluminum motorboat manufacturer “Vizion.”
The “Garmin Predator Cup 2023″ predator fishing competition will take place in the rivers and lakes around Riga on August 19 and 20, bringing together anglers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, and other countries. GPC traditionally involves anglers of various levels trying to catch the 3 longest pikes, zander, and perch for two days. Winners of the tournament this year will receive an exclusive VIZION 440RS aluminum boat as a prize with YAMAHA 50hp engine, GARMN ECHOMAP™ Ultra 102sv sonar, GARMIN Force® Trolling Motor (5.7”), as well as TIKI boat trailer. The value of the main prize is EUR 30 000.
