A MAGNIFICENT SPORTS BOAT PARADE WILL BE HELD IN THE RIGA CANAL

During the celebration of Riga’s birthday, on August 16, the annual parade of powerful fishing sport boats will take place in the Riga City Canal. It takes place within the framework of the international competition Garmin Predator Cup 2024 (GPC 2024) and the Riga festival.
112 athletes from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraine will participate in GPC 2024, the largest and most prestigious fishing competition in the Baltics. About 50 fully equipped sports boats are expected to participate in the parade.
The boat parade will be freely accessible to spectators and will take place between 18:30 and 19:30. Planned route: City Yacht Club – Andrejosta – Riga City Canal – City Yacht Club.
In the predatory fish fishing competition, Garmin Predator Cup 2024 will take place in the rivers and lakes around Riga on August 16 and 17, gathering anglers from several countries. GPC 2024 traditionally involves anglers of various levels trying to catch the 3 longest pike, zander, and perch in two days. The prize fund of the tournament exceeds EUR 40,000 this year, which is the largest ever in the history of the Baltic sport fishing competition.
